Danish and English are Germanic cousins, so expect a few friendly faces among these thirty words, easiest first. Choose each meaning or skip it, and finish with a CEFR level and an estimate of your Danish vocabulary.
Guessing makes the result less accurate, not better — "I don't know" is a perfectly good answer. The test stops early once the words get clearly past you.
| Level | What it means |
|---|---|
| A1 | Greetings, numbers, the everyday nouns |
| A2 | Shopping, directions, routine and family |
| B1 | Travel, work and opinions on familiar topics |
| B2 | Abstract topics, the news, most films |
| C1 | Nuance, idiom, professional vocabulary |
| C2 | Rare and literary words |
Watch Your Language groups its Danish packs by the same CEFR levels as this test. Start at the band you found, and the app shows those words on your iPhone Lock Screen and Apple Watch face, bringing back the ones you keep forgetting.
