Written in Arabic script, right to left, thirty Arabic words come easiest first. Pick the meaning of each or say you do not know, and you get a CEFR level plus a rough count of the Arabic words you know.
Guessing makes the result less accurate, not better — "I don't know" is a perfectly good answer. The test stops early once the words get clearly past you.
| Level | What it means |
|---|---|
| A1 | Greetings, numbers, the everyday nouns |
| A2 | Shopping, directions, routine and family |
| B1 | Travel, work and opinions on familiar topics |
| B2 | Abstract topics, the news, most films |
| C1 | Nuance, idiom, professional vocabulary |
| C2 | Rare and literary words |
Watch Your Language groups its Arabic packs by the same CEFR levels as this test. Start at the band you found, and the app shows those words on your iPhone Lock Screen and Apple Watch face, bringing back the ones you keep forgetting.
